Reflection · 4 minutes
How connected are you to yourself?
Most men don't have a self-worth problem. They have a self-contact problem. This is a soft check on how connected you currently feel to you.
Answer how true each statement feels right now, not how true you'd like it to be.
Reflect honestly
I can usually tell what I'm feeling, even if I don't share it.

What this reflection looks at
Explore the small markers of self-connection: knowing what you feel, what you want, what's a yes and what's a no. There are 8 statements, and it takes most men about 4 minutes. Nothing is scored against anyone else, and nothing here is a diagnosis. It's a way of putting language to patterns you've probably been carrying without naming.
- Self-awareness
When it's light: There's some distance between you and your inner weather. Knowing it's there is the doorway.
When it's heavy: You can read yourself. That's a quiet superpower.
- Boundaries
When it's light: Saying no still costs more than it should.
When it's heavy: Your no makes your yes mean something.
- Purpose
When it's light: It's been a while since you asked what's yours.
When it's heavy: You move with some sense of direction.
- Values
When it's light: There's a gap between what you say matters and what your week shows.
When it's heavy: Your life, in practice, reflects what you care about.
- Relationships
When it's light: You don't have many places where the whole of you is welcome.
When it's heavy: You have somewhere to be yourself.
- Confidence
When it's light: You second-guess yourself more than the evidence warrants.
When it's heavy: You back yourself.
- Emotional awareness
When it's light: Feelings still come at you sideways.
When it's heavy: You can be with what arrives.
- Self-trust
When it's light: The promises you make to yourself are the easiest ones to break.
When it's heavy: You're learning to be someone you can rely on.
Questions worth sitting with
You'll be offered these again at the end, alongside your results. Some men find it useful to read them first, slowly, before answering anything.
- Which area, if it grew by twenty percent, would change everything else?
- What's the smallest possible step toward that area this week?
- Who in your life would benefit from you knowing yourself a little better?
How to use what comes back
Your results are a snapshot of one honest hour, not a verdict on who you are. Patterns shift as your life shifts.
This is a self-reflection tool, not a clinical assessment, and it doesn't replace medical, psychological or legal support. If what surfaces feels heavier than you expected, that's not a failure of the reflection. It's usually the most useful thing it could have done. Take it to someone: a coach, a therapist, your GP, or a man you trust. If you're in crisis in the UK, Samaritans are on 116 123, free, any hour of the night.
