How is this different from therapy?

Therapy generally works clinically with diagnoses, past wounds and mental health conditions. Trauma-informed coaching is forward-facing, it uses an understanding of trauma to help you move, decide and build a life, while honouring what you carry. Many of my clients are already in therapy or have done significant therapy; coaching sits alongside it, not in place of it.

I'm not 'in crisis', is this still for me?

Yes. Most of the men I work with are functioning well on the outside. They show up, hold things together, look fine. The work is about what's happening underneath, the patterns, the numbness, the quiet unease, and building a life that finally feels like yours.

How long does coaching usually last?

Accepted Answer

Open-ended one-to-one work can be as short as a few months or as long as a year or more. Grounded Conversations are flexible (single, three or eight sessions). Return To You is a structured longer programme. We discuss what makes sense for your circumstances on your discovery call.

Question 4

Do you work with men outside Kent?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Sessions are held online and in person. Online coaching works with men across the UK and internationally. In-person work is available in Canterbury and across East Kent.

What if I've never talked about any of this before?

Most men haven't. We move at your pace. There's no requirement to disclose anything you're not ready to. Trauma-informed work is built around safety, choice and pacing.

How much does it cost?

Grounded Conversations start at £30 for a single 60-minute session, with packs at £80 (three) and £300 (eight). Pricing for longer programmes is shared during your discovery call. The discovery call itself is free.

Is everything confidential?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Confidentiality is held within the limits of UK law and safeguarding obligations, which we go through clearly before any work begins.

Can I bring something specific to work on?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Many men come with a specific theme, fatherhood, separation, recovery, a transition. Others arrive simply needing to slow down and make sense of where they are. Both are welcome.
