The Addiction Programme
Honest, trauma-aware work on the pattern underneath the drinking, using or compulsion, without shame as the engine.
You've probably already had this argument a hundred times
I'll stop after this one. It's not that bad. I could stop if I wanted to. That loop uses up exactly the energy that change needs, and it never resolves anything.
This programme doesn't spend twelve weeks deciding whether it counts. It looks at what the behaviour does for you, what it costs, and what would have to be true for you to need it less. That's the work, and it's the part almost nobody gets help with.
It's built from the Understanding Addiction material, the addictive-patterns and recovery-readiness reflections, and the urge-surfing and craving-wave practices, sequenced into one twelve-week arc with a coach alongside you throughout.
The twelve weeks
Each week has its own chapters, one signature exercise, and work to carry
Week 1
Honest Ground
Naming what's actually happening, and why willpower was never the missing piece.
Week 2
The Function
The need underneath the habit, and what would have to meet it instead.
Week 3
Triggers
External cues, internal states, and the moments before the moment.
Week 4
The Craving Wave
Urge surfing, the craving wave, and what to do with your hands.
Week 5
Shame and the Loop
Guilt versus shame, the relapse spiral, and how it actually breaks.
Week 6
The Body
Regulating without the substance, the unglamorous foundations.
Week 7
People, Places, Patterns
Who and what around you makes this harder, and what can actually change.
Week 8
What You Were Medicating
Anger, grief, anxiety, loneliness, and learning to feel them at survivable size.
Week 9
Repair
Telling the truth, making amends carefully, and rebuilding at the pace trust allows.
Week 10
More Than Not Using
Meaning, purpose, and filling the hours the behaviour used to occupy.
Week 11
The Plan
Your relapse prevention plan. Warning signs, moves, people, and what happens if it slips.
Week 12
The Life You're Building
Re-scoring the baseline, honouring the work, and setting up what comes next.
It starts with a conversation, not a checkout
A free discovery call to work out whether this is the right programme, at the right time, with the right person. If it isn't, I'll say so and point you somewhere better.
