Trust & safety

The ground this work stands on.

Safety is not a marketing word here. It is the structure underneath every session. These are the principles you can expect, in writing.

Confidentiality

What you share stays between us. Sessions are private, secure, and never shared without your explicit consent, except where safeguarding law requires.

Ethical boundaries

Clear boundaries around contact, scope of practice, and the coaching relationship itself. Boundaries are part of the safety.

Trauma-informed practice

Safety, choice, collaboration, trust and empowerment guide every session. You set the depth. We pace together.

Safe pacing

We do not push for catharsis or breakthroughs. The work goes at the speed your nervous system can integrate.

Coaching is not therapy

MendCoaching is coaching, not clinical mental health care. It is not a substitute for therapy, psychiatric care, or crisis support.

Appropriate referral

If your needs sit better with a therapist, GP, or crisis service, I will say so honestly and help point you toward the right support.

If you are in crisis right now

MendCoaching is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate crisis or at risk of harming yourself or others, please contact Samaritans on 116 123 (free, 24/7), call 999, or go to your nearest A&E.

Take the next quiet step.

A free, 20-minute discovery call. No script. No pressure. Just a chance to feel whether this work is the right fit for you.
