Academy · Questions Men Ask

The questions underneath the questions.

The first question a man asks is rarely the real one. Underneath 'how do I stop drinking' is usually 'who am I if I'm not the man who drinks'. The Academy hub for the quieter, more honest questions.

Why am I always so tired?

Often it's not sleep, it's the cost of holding it together. Years of suppressing feeling, performing, scanning for danger — that work doesn't show up on a payslip, but the body keeps the receipts. Fatigue is one of the most common signs of unmet need.

Why can't I feel anything?

Numbness is not the absence of feeling. It's the body's protective shutdown of feelings it learned were unsafe. Coming back online is slow, and starts with regulation, safety and small honest contact with what's there.

Why do I keep choosing the same kind of relationship?

Because the nervous system reaches for what's familiar, not what's healthy. Until the underlying attachment story is met, the pattern repeats. Awareness alone won't change it — repair, in a safe-enough relationship, does.

Why does success feel empty?

Because you built a life that looks right to other people instead of one that feels right to you. The fix isn't more achievement. It's re-rooting in what actually matters to you, and giving yourself permission to live from there.

  • What's the question you've been avoiding asking yourself?
  • What do you do when nobody's watching?
  • If you trusted yourself completely, what would you change first?
