Trauma coaching for men
One-to-one, trauma-informed coaching for men carrying things they've never had words for.
Why this work
What this is, in plain language
Trauma coaching is for the man who is functioning on the outside and exhausted on the inside. The man who knows something happened, or something didn't happen, that he's never been able to fully name. The work is paced, private, and trauma-informed in the proper sense, which means it moves at the speed of your nervous system, not at the speed of a content plan.
How it works
What the work actually looks like
We start with a free 20-minute discovery call to see if it's a fit. From there, sessions are weekly or fortnightly, online or in-person in East Kent. You won't be asked to re-live your worst moments. You won't be handed a five-step framework on day one. We build trust first, then we go where it needs to go.
Who it's for
This work is for
- Men who feel a low-grade conviction that something is wrong with them
- Men who can hold a life together but can't quite live in it
- Men carrying childhood experiences they've never been able to name
- Men whose nervous system has been on high alert since they were small
- Men who want help that isn't a worksheet or a quick fix
What changes
What tends to change
- A nervous system that starts to trust slow
- Words for things you've never been able to name
- A steadier relationship with the parts of you that have been protecting you
- Less shame, less self-attack, more honesty
- A way of living that you actually recognise as yours
Frequently asked
Common questions
Is trauma coaching the same as therapy?
No. Coaching is not therapy and not a crisis service. Where another professional, such as a GP, therapist, or psychiatrist, is already involved, I work alongside them rather than instead of them.
Do I have to talk about everything that's happened to me?
No. Trauma-informed work doesn't push you back into your worst moments. We move at the pace your nervous system can actually hold. You'll never be asked to prove anything by re-living it.
Do I need a diagnosis?
No. Coaching doesn't require a GP referral, a diagnosis, or any clinical label. If something clinical comes up that needs a different kind of support, I'll be honest with you and help point you toward the right place.

What you can expect
Honesty about what this is — and what it isn't.
What coaching here is
The work itself
- A confidential one-to-one space for the things you don't say out loud.
- Trauma-informed, body-aware, paced for nervous-system safety.
- Practical — built around the change you actually want.
- Held by years of work alongside men in addiction, prison, homelessness and recovery.
What it isn't
The lines I won't blur
- Not therapy or counselling, and not a substitute for clinical care.
- Not legal advice, and not representation in court.
- Not a quick fix, a guru, or a programme that promises a fixed outcome.
- Not a place where you'll be judged, shamed, or sold something you don't need.
